First day of CNY

We went to my in law’s place early in the morning to help entertain relatives than went to visit an elder with my FIL.

I’m not a teochew but I could grasp 80% of their conversation. My FIL was born in China, 潮安县 - 礼阳郑村 (2007年禮陽鄭鄉遊神大典). He came to Singapore with his parents at a very young age. Hopefully, we can go there for a visit this year.

After the visiting, we went over to my parent’s place. We always have veg popian on the first day of CNY. Late afternoon, we went to my grandmother’s place with my parents and my sister’s family.
