The crudest April fool’s joke ever made. Leslie Cheung, a talented artist ended his life 5 years ago.

My little piano

My parents bought me this little keyboard that can mix and play different rhythm when I was a child. My nephews are playing with it now although they have a real piano at home.

6 Concert at the Esplanade Concert Hall.

The 3 hours concert brings me down memory lane. Great effort by the organizers to gather many local and foreign artists who were once (many are still) music enthusiastic. Although many have moved behind the sence, some have already switched lines and leading an ordinary life.

Dear kitty’s tail stopped swinging…

My dear kitty clock died… I can’t remember if it was a gift or I bought it like 10 years ago. For a good 5 years or so I cold storage it until when I shifted to my new house about 2 years ago.

I like this clock cos it’s unique and it has my favorite animal on it, plus the tail sways like the pendulum on the grandfather’s clock.

Dear kitty clock… RIP

My V-Day gift & James's Upsized Ninja Turtle Shell

My new Nokia 6500 slide mobile @ $188 (with contract and after trade-in).

Upsized Ninja Turtle Shell from Targus @ $99

It pays to shop around before buying; prices vary by quite a fair bit. The service at Targus, Funan IT Mall shop sucks and their ‘special offer’ price is higher compared to any shops within the building.

Still Functioning

Electrical goods manufactured in the good old days are the best!

FIL bought this Braun food chopper almost 30 years ago from Emporium. Even Emporium didn’t last that long.

FIL only used it once to mince meat for his darling son and since than poor machine spent years in the store room.

Now it’s back in action busy grinding, chopping up spices at my parent’s place.

This Used To Be My Playground

Like many kids, I spend quite a far bit of my childhood at the playground.

A simple rubber or tyre swing seat with steel chains over a sand puddle was more than enough for any kid in the 70s.

We would spend hours competing to swing the highest, build sand castles or play tic-tac-toe on the sand.

Over the years, playground has become more sophisticated and safe but this is no longer my playground.

Snow White & the 7 Dwarfs

These are from Wales, UK... not so sure about the fish though

These are from Europe... is that Canada?

Alvin and the Chipmunks

This is how I remembered the Chipmunks.

The Alvin and the Chipmunks
history

Watch out cause here we come
It's been a while but we're back with style
So get set to have some fun
We'll bring you action and satisfaction

We're the chipmunks
C-H-I-P-M-U-N-K
We're the chipmunks
Guaranteed to brighten your day

When you feel like a laugh
Give us a call we'll give you a roll
And if you feel like a song
Tune in to us and sing right along

We're the chipmunks
Coming on stronger than ever before
We're the chipmunks

Goodbye, Yesterday

HDB has identified 9 rental residential blocks, commercial and industrial blocks, and a hawker centre in Hougang for clearance to rejuvenate the area.

Before they disappear into history books, I took some pictures of this friendly, unique and flavorful neighborhood.
