Joo Chiat Original Popiah & Kueh Pie Tee

This is our 2nd time having popiah at Kway Guan Huat, Joo Chiat Popiah Skin. On our first visit we also had meat balls soup which is famous there as well.

We ordered the DIY couple set that comes with 6 pieces of handmade popiah skin (with or without egg), 3 kueh pie tee cups and the rest are the ingredients to wrap/fill them with. If 6 pieces of popiah skin is not enough, aunty is more than happy to supply more.

James, the self proclaimed chef demonstrated how to make the perfect popiah. I was delighted to let him be ya ya papaya for once cos I can just seat back relax and wait to be served.
