Thursday's Activity

I went to Nissan Showroom to meet SGN who sent his car to repair its bumper. We met up with LKY and May for lunch at Victor’s Kitchen, Sunshine Plaza.

SGN drove us to Tampines where I bought 8 (2 boxes) double yolk white lotus paste @ $56 and 1 red bean paste @ $5; Lavender Mooncake.

I was never avid about mooncake because it’s like eating a big lump of sticky sweet covered with thick tasteless pastry. My first encounter with Lavender Mooncake was many years ago from this particular bakery (think it’s Lavender Cake Shop) located in Johor near Pelangi Leisure Mall. For a couple of years following, I will only have Lavender Mooncake during the Mid-Autumn Festival. I find their mooncake not disgustingly sweet and the pastry is thin and light.

The Lavender Bistro & Cake Shop also offers a wide range of food and beverages. I recall having lunch there when we were at Senai Airport on our way to KL in Aug 2006. The food is awfully delicious. We even thought of booking the private transport to Senai Airport again just for the food. Hmm… it’s time to revive that idea.
